In 1993, he later moved on to Allied Colloids, the United Kingdom based Specialty Chemical Company where he was appointed Regional Manager, Marketing and Technical Operations (Caribbean).

Major Lloyd served Allied Colloids with distinction having developed and established their range of specialty chemicals in the bauxite/aluminium industry in the region.

After the merger of Allied Colloids with the Swiss based Ciba Specialty Chemicals, he continued to serve the company in the same capacity expanding his area of responsibility to sections of South America.

In 2005, Major Lloyd left CIBA to form his family-owned company Process Technology & Solutions Limited (PTSL) where he continues to serve in the capacity of President and Chief Executive Officer.

During his civilian exploits, Major Lloyd had the distinction of excelling in a parallel career in the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF). Major LLoyd rose to the rank of Major and was appointed second in command for The Third Battalion, The Jamaica Regiment (National Reserve).

Major Lloyd is a graduate of the University of the West Indies in Chemistry and Biochemistry. He holds a Diploma in Business Administration; a post-graduate Diploma in Education and a Masters Degree in Business Administration. Major Lloyd is the recipient of the Medal Of Honour for Efficient Service.

He is a Justice of the Peace for the Parish of Manchester and a member of the Lay Magistrate Association of Jamaica (Manchester Chapter).
